What Yapp does
Yapp records a voice note, transcribes it, and pulls out job details. Transcription and extraction are automated and will sometimes be wrong. Check anything that matters — particularly amounts and phone numbers — before relying on it. Yapp is a record-keeping aid, not an accounting or invoicing system.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has access.
Your content
Your recordings, photos and job details remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so the app can work for you.
If you record another person's details, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to hold them and for meeting any privacy obligations that apply to your business.
Acceptable use
- Do not record people without a lawful basis for doing so.
- Do not use Yapp for anything illegal.
- Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Availability
Transcription needs an internet connection and depends on services we do not control. Recordings are saved on your phone first, so a job is never lost while offline — it transcribes when signal returns.
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Ending it
Delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
Liability
Yapp is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using it — including a job detail transcribed incorrectly. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
